Instructions for stamping a small wooden box
Time to make; Two hours,(allow 1 hours for drying)
Step by step instructions;
Paint the outside boxes with the emulsion paint. No need to paint the botton of the box, leave the boxes open as they dry to prevent them being impossible to open when the paint dries.
When the boxes are fully dry (allow 5 hours) they will be ready to decorate.
Cover your table with newspaper.
Cut your cut ‘n dry foam into 6 equally sized pieces.
Mix up the colours that you would like to use from your ranger paint dabber pots, in old yogurt pots.Or you may want to use the paint straight from the pots.If you want to change the colour of the ranger paint a bit you can mix it with the other ranger colours or a bit of ordinary acrylic paint, as long as the mixture is at least three quarters ranger paint it should be fine.
Place the foam on some newspaper or kitchen roll.With a tea spoon spoon the fabric paint onto the cut n dry foam and press the paint into the foam so that none of it is sitting on the surface of the foam.I have tried using the paint dabbers from the ranger bottles but have found that the cut n dry foam gives a better result especially for small detailed stamps.
Ink up your stamp by gently pressing it onto the cut n dry foam, until you can see that the stamp is well inked up.
Start stamping with the bigger flower stamp on the top then three sides of the box, leaving the side of the box with hinges.
Fill in the corners and around the sides of the larger flower motif with one of the smaller flower stamps, stamp the side of the box with the hinges with the smaller flower stamp.

I hope you are all having a very Happy Mothers Day, I just thought I would do a quick post of the mothers day card I made for my Mum, I made it from a new design which I designed to be personalised for save the date stamps, but I will probably sell it blank too, I've also got some alphabet stamp sets which are really fun to use and I used them to do the writing.

"My stamping adventures with the Noolibird stamps began when I saw them being featured in one of the magazines in 2011. I followed the link to the "Not on the high street" website just to discover that there are more of them! I instantly fell in love with all the designs and it was the "quirkiness" and the folky feel of those stamps that captured my heart. Fabulous, unique designs, simple yet very decorative. I simply love all those little animal characters Nula puts in her designs. Just my style! Reindeer in a folky heart became my big favourite as I love all things Scandinavian. I knew I had to buy it. Then, the other stamps followed. This year I've made quite a few festive cards featuring Noolibird designs and there are more to come. Working with each stamp is great fun and I love trying out various colour combinations and card making techniques. Noolibird designs really make your cards stand out. Thanks Nula for such a fab collection of stamps as well as the opportunity to feature my cards! "

The Tate asked me to design a couple of stamps to go with their exhibition of Pre-Raphaelite Victorian Avant-Garde on show at the Tate Britain from 12th Sept-13Jan.
The exhibition includes some wood cuts by William Morris and I was asked to do some stamp designs inspited by the great man himself. I hope he approved!
These stamp make great all purpose greetings cards and are also for sale on my website.
