Wedding Rubber Stamps

My wedding stamps started with a single hand-cut heart and grew from there. The collection now runs across three threads I keep coming back to. Personalised name-and-date hearts and florals — the ones where you tell me the names and the date and I send a proof before I make the stamp. Decorative pieces like the Flowery Heart (which comes in three sizes), the Pretty Flower Borders and the Jasmine Trail — quiet, romantic, easy to use across a whole stationery suite. And single-word stamps for save the dates, RSVPs and thank yous. They sit happily across most palettes — VersaFine Clair in Nocturne on cream card is the classic, Smoky Blue and Camellia Red are the softer alternatives, and embossed gold on deep navy is the most dramatic — pick a colour you'll enjoy stamping with.

Personalising a stamp is straightforward. Choose the design, add the names and date you'd like included when you order, and I'll email a proof image to approve before I make the stamp. The typeface can be adjusted, so the example you see is a starting point rather than a fixed choice. Allow 7–10 days for personalised stamps to be made and dispatched.

The whole stationery suite — invitations, RSVP cards, envelopes, favour tags, thank you notes — can be built from three or four well-chosen stamps. The Flowery Heart in two sizes plus the Pretty Flower Borders is the combination I recommend most often; add one word stamp and you have everything you need.

Frequently asked questions

Can I personalise a stamp with our names and wedding date?

Yes — most of the heart and floral designs are available as personalised versions. Add the personalised option to your cart and email me at nula@noolibird.com with your names and date. I'll confirm the layout with you before making the stamp. Allow 7–10 days from order to delivery.

How far in advance should I order?

For non-personalised stamps, allow 2–3 days for UK delivery. For personalised stamps, allow 7–10 days. If you have a fixed date for sending invitations, work backwards and order at least three weeks ahead so you have time for test prints and any adjustments.

What ink works best on envelopes?

VersaFine Clair is the one I reach for — it dries quickly and cleanly on the slightly different envelope surface. On white or cream envelopes, Nocturne or a colour matching your palette sits beautifully. On darker envelopes, switch to a pigment or metallic pad so the colour reads properly.

Can I build a complete wedding suite from these stamps?

Yes — and without spending a great deal. The Flowery Heart in two sizes plus the Pretty Flower Borders covers invitations, envelopes, RSVP cards, favour tags and thank you notes. Add one word stamp and the suite is complete. The wedding stamp guide walks through the planning in detail.

Do you offer fully bespoke designs?

The personalised stamps — your names and date within an existing design — are made to order. Fully bespoke artwork isn't something I currently take on, but the collection covers folk, botanical, rustic woodland and classic romantic styles, so there's usually a design that fits. Choosing your ink — questions answered

Some pigment inks can be heat-set on fabric, but always check the individual pad and test a scrap first. For everyday card-making and journaling, the pads here are chosen for paper.

Pigment inks sit on the surface, give richer, more opaque colour, resist fading and work on coloured and dark card — but take a little longer to dry. Dye inks soak in, dry fast and are bright on white card, but can look thinner on detailed stamps. For finely detailed stamps, pigment is usually the better choice.

Tap the pad gently onto the stamp (rather than pressing the stamp into the pad) for even coverage, press straight down with flat hands without rocking, and lift cleanly. Small pads let you ink just part of a stamp for two-tone effects.

Yes — pigment inks show up beautifully on dark and kraft card, where dye inks tend to disappear. Gold or copper on dark card is one of my favourite looks.

For crisp detail and lettering, an oil-based pigment ink like VersaFine Clair gives the sharpest print and dries quickly. For colour work and layering, a water-based pigment such as VersaColor is ideal. Most makers end up with one of each.

Wipe stamps with a damp cloth or baby wipe between colours, and store pads flat and closed, out of direct sun, so they don't dry out. Looked after, both last for years.
